A Quiet Day on Loch Ness

We all slept well and woke late, so it was a really quiet day. I was up first so a cup of tea and my knitting kept me company.image

Shopping for the remainder of the week was our expotition for the day. Salmon for dinner, with a view.

Look what we found at the store!

The girl and I went for a walk after supper and found my next house, and look, someone is already fixing it up for me!

And this is the dock that goes with it. Heaven!

By Loch Ness

It took twenty hours, but we’re finally here! Limo, jet, prop plane, shuttle, train, taxi, and rental car. What a trek! Here’s the girl in Dublin where we had to change planes.

We flew a prop to Edinburgh! Caught the shuttle to Waverly Station, and the train to Inverness. Sheep everywhere!

And all of us trying to sleep any way we could

Taxi to the Inverness airport to get our rental car, got lost finding our cottage, shopped for dinner at Tesco, and finally made it to Hazelgrove. Here’s my view of Loch Ness while making dinner.

Watching Braveheart, immersing myself in everything Scottish!

Pre Scotland

The kidney’s summer is pretty much over, which is why I haven’t posted in so long. It has been crazy around here for another reason too-a massive road/watermain construction project. On top of the kitchen reno, it about drove around the bend. Still, I managed to make tomato paste, finish a pair of socks, and arrange playdates for the kidneys.

What I really want to let you know is that the girl and I are leaving for Scotland tomorrow night.
