Something prosaic today: the snow on the plant hook is lovely, especially contrasted with the dark of the night, but it reminded me about how form follows function. Nature blesses us with lessons every moment, we need only stay awake.

Before the neighborhood is filled with the sounds of reving snowblower engines, the cardinals are singing, the juncos wear their tuxedos to dine at the feeders and the dogs leap into the snow with more elation that you can imagine. This is a perfect morning.
