Celebrate

Snow is lovely. Silent and soft and I so wish we had gotten more of it overnight. It’s still snowing so maybe we will!

Snow

img_4665Waking in the morning to a soft white world, I hear the plow blade scrape its way down my country road. Proverbial, not unexpected, and joyously received, the first blizzard of the season captures my heart. May there be many more!

First Snow

Upon the Christmas hubbub, the first snow of the season brought calm and peace as I expected. Sitting down to read and let go of the need to accomplish, I gathered myself back to my center….to breathe. The dogs played, the cat slept, and I wrote.

Snowy Days

It’s snowing again here in New Hampshire, and unlike many, I am in love with it. Sometimes I feel like I need a winter support group. I love the quiet snowfalling time, watching the bird activity at the feeders during a storm, reading in my chair by the window watching the world become beautifully white.

I have many creative projects that benefit from this bonus time during a blizzard.

I finished one of the socks, a very light and airy pair this time.

And just for good measure, I’m sharing a beautiful sunrise photo and the Waterlogue version, as well as a sunset here on Sunset St.

Man, I love where I live!

it’s time to block the blue sweater I made for myself, and get some done on the quilt for the little guy. I need some primo knitting and quilting time!
